Wilsam is based in Cape Town, South Africa and is the leading manufacturer of baking and pastry packaging as well as other specialised packaging. All material is imported from the highest quality suppliers around the world. We carry a wide range of stock items and are also able to customise and print according to client specifications.
Where we started
Wilsam is a third generation packaging business with its roots dating back to 1931. The business began importing paper from Scandinavia and trading from a shop in Strand Street, Cape Town. We are proud of our heritage and continued involvement in supplying the world’s most ethically produced paper.
ISO 22000 certified
Our business carries the ISO 22000 accreditation, which certifies our food safety management systems.
SANHA certified
Our business premises are certified by the South African National Halaal Association (SANHA).
Manufacturing capability
We produce a variety of speciality paper and unique packaging items. We have several bag making lines, sheeters and slitters. We are able to re-slit and rewind damaged cores and reels. We can cut unusual shapes, produce tapered bags as well as create unique customised products.

Who we work with
Factory shop
Open to the public from 8am-4pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am – 3pm on Friday.
From our factory shop in Wetton, Cape Town, we sell a range of our stock items. This range includes our presentation packaging for flowers and gifts as well as our full range of food packaging products. Our baking paper lines and unique papers are available in any quantity. We are also able to accept credit cards.
